Two months later...

I know we've been out of touch on the blog, but we have a good excuse. In late April we found out that we're expecting a surprise baby #4. Since we found out at 5 1/2 weeks, Laurie became sick the weekend after we found out.

Now, Laurie is 11 weeks pregnant and somewhat stabilized on Zofran. The past month and a half have been exhausting, though. Caring for three young children while sick and VERY tired is not easy. We are counting down the days until our trip back East to grandparents.

Though we are tired and a little thrown by this surprise baby, we know that the excitement level will grow as morning sickness disappears. The baby is due December 27th, so we will have an interesting Christmas. As Avery said, "the baby will be a big present this Christmas." She's so right. This time next year we will only know a family of 6 and will be so thankful for this surprise baby.
